Dummies are designed exclusively for training dogs. They are not toys and are not intended for tugging or excessive biting. Proper training requires the use of a "soft mouth," which prevents damage to game or dummies. Hard bites can render the dummies unusable. Always select the appropriate dummy size for your dog - dummies that are too small can pose a choking hazard.
Dummies are intended for training, working tests, and competitions.
Never leave your dog unsupervised with a dummy. This helps prevent damage to the product and reduces the risk of injury to you or your dog.
Inspect the dummy regularly for signs of wear or damage. DO NOT USE A DAMAGED DUMMY!
Over time, changes in the color shade and softness of the dummy may occur; this does not affect its functionality.
Avoid exposing dummies to direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure may alter their color or material properties.
The following dummies are not suitable for water training:
Fully fur-covered dummies and dummies with fur
3-part dummies
Trainer dummies (1 kg, 1,5 kg)
Disc dummies
Snack dummies
Lining dummies
Drying: If wet, allow the dummy to air dry naturally. Do not place in direct sunlight.
Cleaning: Use a brush and lukewarm water for cleaning, except for fur-covered dummies.
Restrictions: Do not machine wash, chemically clean, iron, or tumble dry the dummies.
Detergents: Avoid using any cleaning agents or chemicals on the dummy.
Store dummies in a dry, dark place at room temperature.
Keep them away from direct sunlight or UV exposure.
Avoid storing near chemicals or substances that could degrade the material.
Dummies are made with cotton, nylon or polyester fabric fabric filled with PP (polypropylene) plastic regranulate or with polyester hollow fiber.
At the end of their lifecycle:
Fabric components (cotton, nylon, polyester): Dispose of or recycle with local textile recycling services where available.
Filling: Check your local waste management facilities for appropriate recycling options for plastic regranulates or hollow fibers.
Plastic Toggle: The toggle is made of recyclable plastic and can be disposed of with plastic waste
Polypropylene Rope/Strap: A polypropylene Rope/Strap belongs in mixed municipal waste. If the rope is still usable, we recommend considering its reuse, for example, as a replacement rope or for other practical purposes.
Metal ring: metal ring is fully recyclable as metal waste.
General Tip: If unsure, consult your local recycling program for mixed materials to reduce environmental impact.
By recycling your dummies responsibly, you contribute to reducing waste and supporting a circular economy.
This safety guide ensures proper use, maintenance, and longevity for FIREDOG dummies, while emphasizing user safety and the welfare of your dogs.
